Balsamand, a beautiful lake palace, was constructed in 1114 a.d. the open area of the palace is 192000 sq. feet. Overlooking the huge Balsamand lake, it was made essentially as a getaway for the royal family of jodhpur. It has well laid-out and tended gardens which for years served the royalty for picnics and other celebrations. Recently converted into a hotel with all the modern amenities and is an ideal place for a quiet holiday.
