Built in the early 20th century by Seth Bhanwarlalji Rampuria it is one of the most
interesting havelis. The haveli follows no particular style of architecture, instead it
is a pot-pourri of indian and western styles. Recently converted into a hotel,
Bhanwar Niwas has elegant rooms like the blue drawing room, entrance hall,
grand staircase and the library. The bar is a converted `baori', or underground
rainwater tank. The haveli's location in the city makes it suitable for
walks into the city to taste the flavour of local life. Another special
feature here is the evenings of music conducted by the local musicians
in the courtyard.
